This section refers to the new health facility located in the municipality of dubino .
This structure, in addition to the separate outpatient surgery area, houses five dental surgeries, a reception administration area, the waiting room, the toilets, the changing rooms and the rooms necessary for the functioning of the structure itself.
Upstairs there are spaces created for management purposes at the service of the underlying dental practice: a dental laboratory, a staff changing room, an office, a relaxation area for guests, an office, a large meeting room connected directly to the operating block for live viewing of oral and maxillofacial surgery .
The surgical area is well separated from the remaining space even if it benefits from some common services that complete the minimum standards for a structure of this kind:
- Waiting area
- Toilets for users and staff
- Registration and secretariat space
- Clean and dirty storage
- Post-operative care room
- Surgical clinic
The surgical area (“operating block”) is about 80.00 m2 and is organized in a harmonious and linear way and allows a progressive passage from septic areas to aseptic areas which lead the patient and the surgeon, through filters and green dressings, to the room surgical.
the problem of asepsis plays a fundamental role within these structures characterized by a great “rotation” of surgical services. The continuous introduction of filtered air with specific filters without turbulence favors the aseptic nature of the room, furthermore the continuous overpressure of the air flow favors the passage of the cycle from aseptic zones to less pure zones.
In a situation of emotional stress such as that of an oral or maxillofacial surgery , even if of short duration, it is important to reassure and put the patient at ease.
This is made possible above all thanks to positive human relationships, but also by channeling the patient’s energies towards creativity and optimism, with all the means at our disposal: quality materials, ergonomic and comfortable furnishings, study of color on the walls and flooring. The correct sensory stimulation implemented through a comfortable, rich and warm environment contributes to the maintenance of the psychophysical balance, favoring the regular healing process.
The patient follows a path to the operating room, through a preparation room equipped with a bathroom where he undresses, puts on his gown and is accompanied to the room. The outgoing procedure includes a visit to the dressing room, if necessary, a change of clothes and exit from the surgical block.
Clean personnel follow a path to the surgical room through a first dressing room with white clothing, equipped with a bathroom. Dressed in this way, he enters the inlet filter and in the green dressing and puts on sterile green clothes and clogs to then directly access the operating block.
The clean material follows a path towards the operating block through a sliding door which from the sterilization takes it to the room where it will be stored in the appropriate cabinets. Part of the sterile material will instead be collected and delivered to premises outside the block where needed.
The sterilizable dirty material goes out through the hall door, enters the washing room, washed, packaged, sterilized and stored in the hall cupboards or where needed.
The dirty material that cannot be sterilized goes out through the door, through the washing area and is evacuated outside. Communication between the groups takes place through well-compartmented spaces, aggregated in a fluid way, usable through natural decontamination paths.
